A Quick Guide to Household Practice
A Quick Guide to Household Practice
Amanity is a tradition rooted in friends and family. Many people don’t want a holier-than-thou figure dictating their lives, but they still want faith, friends and family. Amanity’s home-and-table culture seeks to cut through the dogma and division that get in the way of sharing love between people, while its rituals and festivals seek to restore beauty, art, myth, history, community and humanity in our inhuman age.
An Ego Death and A Honest Letter
My ego wanted to make me the prophet of Amanity. Then came a huge ego death, and I was humbled right out of that. An old way of thinking died, and The Humilitatem was born. This secular letter goes at the front of every copy of The Gospel. It is meant to be a safeguard against cults, crusades, jihads, televangelists, bigots and theocrats. It is an open invitation for you to take this faith in any direction that fits you. This is your faith, not mine.
A Simple Guide to Amanity at Large
Amanity is a growing and changing tradition, and this guide gives you an idea of where we stand now. Many of the core concepts of Amanity will remain central, such as the Malum Solutum, The Humilitatem and the twenty-one-book Gospel, alongside the rituals, festivals and other shared practices. It is important to say that anything speculative that speaks of the divine is categorized as “Mythos.” Mythos in Amanity can be taken literally or metaphorically, because in Amanity it is not how you view the divine that matters, but how you treat people.
